Multi Spectrum Zoom
Quote from mm_dev on 25/04/2023, 15:55The Multi Spectrum Zoom block is a very powerful tool to monitor a large frequency spectrum:
Left hand side Input:
- Sweep (should be connected to a sweep control block like Spectran V6 Sweep Zoom)
- Spectra (should be connected directly to the same device as the connected sweep block)
Right hand side Output:
- Spectra
- optional: when the "Multi Output" option is enabled, a dedicated output is added for each of the 32 possible sections
The Multi Spectrum Zoom block is a very powerful tool to monitor a large frequency spectrum. It displays the whole range of a connected sweep block, and allows to define up to 32 areas (simply via cursor selection) that can be monitored in a zoomed in separate graph and waterfall. This way multiple mobile phone and wireless bands can be observed in parallel with a single device and minimal configuration effort (obviously performance will be limited compared to a multi-device setup).
Additionally, any of the sections can be easily selected with a single mouseclick, and its data is then forwarded to the main output for further analyzing. The output can also serve as control input for the Frequency Range Follower block to monitor the selected section with a second dedicated Spectran device in realtime.
Last, but certainly not least, the Multi Spectrum Zoom block can also automatically and continously detect frequency ranges of interest and assign them to separate sections. This makes it ideal for directly observing a large frequency range for unknown signals.
Typical Mission:
