antenna factor for IsoLOG 3D Mobile 9080 PRO

PreviousPage 2 of 2

Dear,

in your software version RTSA-Suite PRO - Stable (Windows) 2.2.0.12821, which is available on your site, you have in calibration block the gain characteristic for antennas "IsoLOG 3D Mobile 9080 PRO dipole" and "IsoLOG 3D Mobile 9080 PRO loop". We use Isotropic antenna "IsoLOG® 3D Mobile 9080 PRO". Please, would you be kind to explain us whether we may use the models available in your software version for measurements realization using our antenna? What do the terms "dipole" and "loop" mean together with "IsoLOG" antenna?

Sincerely yours

Aleksandar Lebl

IsoLOG 3D Mobile PRO antennas consist of one loop and one dipole antenna element per axis. In addition, two bypass preamplifiers are built in.
This results in a total of six gain tables as stored in the RTSA Suite PRO.
Please configure your antennas according to the application and use the appropriate preset within the software. Further information can be found in the associated Quick Guide.

Dear,

Thank you very much on your fast answer. Related to these 6 IsoLOG antenna 9080 PRO gain characteristics, I have one additional question.

We intend to realize electrical field measurement in the vicinity of base stations. Instead of gain characteristics, the more suitable way for us seems to have antenna factor (AF) characteristics in order to form a mission for our measurement in the program. Now we have formed 6 custom calibration characteristics in such a way that we have started from the numerical values of your antenna gain (G) characteristics and have modified each of them using the expression AF=20log(f)-G-149.7.

Is such our approach satisfactory or you have the other suggestion? In one of your previous answers you have adviced us to provide one of your "nightly builds" for this function.

Sincerely yours

Aleksandar Lebl

Our antenna sheets contain both: gain [dBi] and AF [dB/m].

This allows our customers to use our instruments with 3d party analyzers or, as in your case, to enter data into the RTSA Suite PRO software, which is not yet available in this version.

Dear,

Thank you very much on your answer.

We intend to perform electrical field measurement in the vicinity of mobile telephony base stations using IsoLOG antenna 9080 PRO and Spectran V6. The first phase in this measurement is scanning the space around base stations, thus preparing the selection of locations where detailed measurement is going to be later realized. Scanning is wideband measurement which is performed in such a way that the person who performs measurement is walking in the space around base station and the measurement equipment is putting the points of different colors in the location layout according to the value of the measured electrical field. One example of the results of electrical field scanning is presented in the figure after the text of e-mail.

Is it possible to make a figure similar to the one presented here? Please, would you be kind to explain us or, even better, draw us concrete mission which allow us electrical field scanning according to the procedure explained in the previous paragraph of this message?

Thanking you in advance

Sincerely yours

Aleksandar Lebl
