Where can i see my installed V6 (hardware) Options e.g. via Serial Number?

I ordered a SPECTRAN V6 with OCXO option. Where can i check that the option is installed?

You can check the installed options with the new "Device Info" funtion within the V6 block:

Use the right mouse button to activate the Device Manager hamburger menu as seen below:

Show SPECTRAN V6 Devices

You now get a list of all connected V6 units incl. serial no, active USB connections, formfactor etc. incl. ALL (also optional via software key) installed hardware features:

SPECTRAN V6 installed Options

This RSA2000 is a "fully loaded" version.

The options in detail:

  • Rx1 = Rx1 installed, calibrated and working
  • Rx2 = Rx2 installed, calibrated and working (might need a software key to run)
  • Tx = Tx (IQ generator) installed, calibrated and working (might need a software key to run)
  • OCXO-D5 = OCXO installed, D5 removed (hardware patch)
  • xTC = Extended temperature range version
  • GPS = GPS installed and working (might need a software key to run)

Those data can also be read from the serial number with more details. An example:

Serial No

The prefix "xxaaaxaa" is coded as "12345678":

  1. Reserved: x
  2. Reserved: x
  3. Advanced Shielding: a=yes; x=no
  4. Extended Temperature: a=yes; x=no
  5. Internal GNSS: a=yes; x=no; b=yes (advanced power tree)
  6. OCXO Timebase: a=yes; x=no
  7. Rx Config: a=Rx1 & Rx2; b=Rx1 only; c=Rx2 only
  8. Tx Option: a=yes; x=no

So the example includes: Advanced Shielding, Extended Temperature, Internal GPS, TCXO (No OCXO), Both Rx and Tx.

Besides the OCXO and the xTC (extended temperature range) all other hardware options can be activated via software key. Please contact us if you wish to upgrade.
