V6 ECO 150XA suitable as a HAM radio?

Apologies if this is more a software question, but would the V6 ECO be suitable as a high end HAM radio rig?

the terms "real time spectrum analyser" and  "I/Q vector generator" threw me a bit, so I'm not quite sure what to expect. In short, using transmit capable software like SDRAngel or SDR-Console, would I be able to use the Spectran as a "simple" voice receiver / transmitter?

If so, looking at the specs, it would blow most other "pro-sumer level" radios out of the water.  Can the V6 ECO be a replacement for both a Flexradio and a Siglent spectrum analyser at the same time? What am I missing?

Yes that works. All you need is a software supporting the Tx and Rx as needed.

That's...fantastic. I mailed the company for a quote a few days ago, got a reply within a few minutes (!), even still got the HAM discount so it looks like I know where I will be spending my Christmas bonus on.

Just out of curiosity, for general ham use, do I need the Pre-Amp option?

Its a must have but dont forget to order the limiter.

Ok, got it. Radio, pre-amp option, limiter. While I’m at it, any other options I’m forgetting? DC-block?

It looks like software options are geared towards enterprise/government use and way out of my price range.

Should be all you need.
