Spectran V6 ECO USB-C Port | Which data rate is used?

Hello,

I ordered a Spectran V6 ECO which has one USB-C port. The standards body for USB is USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) at http://www.usb.org. For many years USB standards have been somewhat obscure so USB-IF has decided to finally sort it out. The marketing language they now encourage is at:

https://www.usb.org/sites/default/files/usb_data_performance_language_usage_guidelines_june_2023.pdf

That said, I would like to know if Spectran V6 ECO uses:

USB 80Gbps

USB 40Gbps

USB 20Gbps

USB 10Gbps

or USB 5Gbps

Thanks,

Charles McCane CCIE#5163, KG5YFO

We use regular USB C with USB 5Gbps.

Ok, thanks for the information.A couple more questions:

Is there a roadmap for going to a higher USB data rate on future Spectran products?

Is compression being appllied within the hardware then decompressed by RTSA-Suite PRO?

10Gbps and 20Gbps USB (with 5Gbps fallback) should be available this year.

Yes depending on data amount we have a patented IQ compression running (no data loss).

Hi,

By now, the V6 Eco series still send data at 5Gbps (hardware limitation ?) ? or higher transfer rate are possible ?

Yes ECO is limited to 5Gbps.
