ECO not running on Linux

Hi Aaronia Team,

We had planned on running the Spectran V6 ECO 150XA-6 from a Linux server, but the software installation process for RTSA 3 is confusing and appears to be broken.

We had previously tested it with RTSA 2 and it worked fine, but it seems the Spectra ECOs require RTSA 3. The Linux package for RTSA 3 is very different than RTSA 2.

It seems like maybe this binary is expecting a newer version of Linux, but the Aaronia website mentioned that our distribution is supported. So I’m not really sure.

We’re running Ubuntu 20.04 LTS on a 64bit machine.

Sorry for the confusion. We'll upload a .deb File for Debian/Ubuntu and an rpm for Fedora by EOD tomorrow, along with a tutorial how to switch from 2.x to 3.x. I'll keep you posted in this thread.

What I can't say, if 20.04 will be working, because we test against 22.04 for a long time now and also take care of compatibility with 24.04. 20.04 is like 4 years old now, so might work for 3.0 but might need some manual cheats, that we can't provide.
