RF Phase-Locked / Coherent Measurements with V6
Quote from Tom on 01/10/2024, 13:57We would like to use a 10 MHz reference signal for RF phase-locked or coherent antenna measurements.
A 10 MHz reference signal provided by a third party RF-source shall be fed into the V6 by its 10 MHz Ref. input port, as shown in the sketch below.
Is the V6 10 MHz input forseen for such an application and which V6 settings need to be done to ensure that the V6 is phase-locked with the external 10 MHz?

For such a setup, you need a special, quite complex clock source with individual clock adjustments for every connected unit, which the PLUS series does not support.
Phase synchronization is supported by the newer ECO series, see https://v6-forum.aaronia.de/forum/topic/can-the-10mhz-refclock-be-used-for-external-clock-source/?part=1
