IQ Power Statistics

The IQ Power Statistics block offers a real-time PDF, CDF, CCDF & Relative CCDF statistical RF power measurement.

IQ Power Statistics Block | Measure PDF, CDF & CCDF in Real-Time

Left hand sinde Input:

  • in1 (IQ data)
  • in2 (IQ data)

The block is a very important measurement tool for designing and testing of modern radio frequency aplications since it offers complex RF power measurements e.g. to see how the power is distributed or to measure its propability.

Such CCDF measurements are perfect to quantify devices e.g. an amplifier distortion or compression point. Since we have two inputs you can measure the signal before and after the amplifier at the same time and can even compare the measurement graphs in real-time.

But even a filter or a complete signal path of your DUT can be analyzed in the same way.

The block offers multiple of such measurements and graphs at the same time:

  • PDF (Propability Density Function)
  • CDF (Comulative Distribution Function)
  • CCDF (Complementary Comulative Distribution Function)
  • Relative CCDF (Relative Complementary Comulative Distribution Function)

The complete measurement table or only part of it can be exported via the right mouse button as:

  • Comma Seperated Values (*.csv)
  • Semicolon Seperated Values (*.csv)
  • XML Files (*.xml)
  • JSON Files (*json)

No further settings are needed for operation.

A typical mission if you would use both SPECTRAN V6 Rx:

A typical mission using two SPECTRAN V6:

Or why not use two IQ Signal Generator blocks to understand the operation in detail:
