Half Power (3 dB) Bandwidth Measurement

Attached mission uses the new half power (3 dB) bandwith measurement.
A marker can be moved via mouse and shows the HPB of any signal. In our case we are using the IQ Signal Generator to generate some 16QAM signals with different symbol rates but you can remove the generator and use the SPECTRAN V6 block instead:

Here how to understand the Half Power Bandwidth？ I'd like to think it is -3dB bandwidth, Isn't it? Moreover, what is different while using difference Span Freq.? Thank you so much!
