NEW: DLL API instead of RTSA Software? (Implemented)

Is it possible to use the SPECTRAN V6 with a DLL instead of the RTSA Software?

Yes, this will be possible soon.

When do you think the DLLs will be available? Are there APIs suitable for writing a user specific application available now?

It is currently being tested. Note that the DLL for now will still require the RTSA-Suite PRO to be installed on the target system (to avoid deployment issues).

At the moment your best option would be to remote control the RTSA-Suite PRO using the HTTP JSON interface.

The initial version of the DLL is now installed together with the RTSA-Suite PRO. Please note that it is still being tested and not everything might work as expected yet.

See https://v6-forum.aaronia.de/forum/topic/notes-on-using-the-spectran-v6-dll/ for initial usage notes.

What would the simplest configuration be to stream IQ together with the spectrum?

Simply check the demo files attached to the RTSA-Suite PRO installer.

Are there APIs suitable for writing a user specific application available now? I mean the APIs can be worked well even if unrequired RTSA-Suite PRO to be instanlled on the target system.

You mean having a DLL that works completely separate from the RTSA? Then no, that won't happen anytime soon. It isn't feasable at this point to make a standalone library as we'd have to rework the complete backend to not rely on RTSA filesystem locations, configuration and frameworks.

BTW: Don't forget that you can run the RTSA as invisibly background task
