How to import .Dat File?

I'm trying to export a waveform from matlab into aaronia rtsa suite. I have the i and q available to me for the waveform in matlab, i tried to make a .dat file and import into aaronia and it gives an error for the file in arronia (file source in critical state). How exactly can i get the waveform into aaronia? Is .dat the easiest file format to get it into? Any help will be appreciated!
