concerning the feed pulse of the antenna

Besides FMCW (frequency modulated continuous wave), there's also the option of feeding the antenna with a SFCW (stepped frequency continuous wave) pulse. My questions are: is the Transceiver able to produce both? If not, which one is it using? I am assuming that it uses a SFCW, in essence thereby a Chirp signal. Can someone confirm or read up on this?
